This book is easy to use. By accessing the text links on a page (clicking on the underlined words) the user of the book can navigate from page to page consecutively or jump to more pertinent information. The table of contents has a list of everything contained in the book and the mathematical index contains a list of all the definitions. Each page contains an interactive presentation at the top of the page. There is also a series of interactive audio tutorials on math functions linked to the presentations.
The pages of this book can accessed with any standard web browser. It is designed to work with all browsers that support the web technologies listed below. It runs on any operating system platforms that can run a standard web browser. Using HTML and/or XML it serves up interactive information and applications based on web technologies. Specifically, this book uses JavaScript® to provide the client-side scripting, and Macromedia™ Flash® 3 to provide the audio and animation.
